FROM HUMBLE BEGINNINGS TO WORLDWIDE WATER TREATMENT ENTERPRISES
Columbus, Ohio—In 1960, with a staff of three employees, William R. Hague established Hague Quality Water, making it the oldest major water treatment manufacturer in the United States under continuous family ownership.
In the early 1970s, Hague Quality Water did away with existing equipment and began manufacturing its own improved and more dependable equipment. Sales grew tremendously within Ohio and began to expand to neighboring states.
Hague Quality Water quickly responded to the increased sales volume by establishing itself as a regional supplier. Within a few years, the Hague dealer network was distributing the full Hague line nationwide. To support the growing demand for its products, the company built a new manufacturing facility in Groveport, Ohio.
Due to the growing demand for Hague products, the company has expanded their facilities numerous times since the doors opened in 1960. Today, Hague exports to 35 countries worldwide including France, Italy, Russia, United Kingdom, Sweden, Belgium, Japan and China.
Robert Hague, William’s oldest son, became President when William officially retired in 2002.
Over the years, Hague Quality Water has received numerous accolades for the company’s contributions to the water treatment industry and for multiple cutting edge technological patents and product designs, including the Small Business Environmental Exporter of the Year Award from the Ex-Im Bank of the U.S. and Ohio Governor Ted Strickland’s Excellence In Exporting Award.
William Hague’s entrepreneurial journey began in 1960 with just a blank piece of paper and a vision. Today, we are happy to share his vision, mission and success with you.
Welcome to the family.
